The third in a series of storms to lash the East Coast of the North Island is due to arrive this weekend.
I have already written an article on Anabatic Kiteboarding.com about the first one where winds peaked at 97 knots across the Auckland region. I managed a challenging session at Orewa the following day in winds of 35knots and a 4m swell running.
So although the news on TV all looked bad, it wasn't. Some of us like a good storm.
And as soon as I get a chance I will add the write up of last Sundays 25-30 knots session where we put the new "BLACK Kite" through it's paces. Yes, a few riders (even the odd importer) have called into the shop to see what the new Kite brand is we are testing and to find out about what all the hush hush talk is about it. Shhhh! for now ok.
