We have some awesome news this month.
The BEST Waroo kites are back in stock, our new range of kites from Royal Kiteboarding are on their way, our new Tamaki video clip is online and our new range of family foil kites from Peter Lynn have arrived in store.
So it's been a busy month here at Anabatic Kiteboarding for sure.
BEST Waroo kites
The latest shipment of BEST Waroo kites has arrived. Demand for the No.1 selling kite in the World never stops and we had sold out of all the 13m's for a while there, but a quick call to BEST was all it took and an air freight shipment was on it's way.
Wow they arrived so fast. We ordered them on a Thursday and they arrived on Monday... incredible!
The level of support we get here in New Zealand from BEST is fantastic.
With such a lot of wind around this winter new kiters have been joining the Anabatic Crew in good numbers. This is a very healthy sign for our sport and is great to see.
With the advent of the Waroo & Bularoo kites our sport has seen rider development progressing at incredible levels over the past 18 months.
Initially the Waroo was intended as a performance model for intermediate to advanced riders.
Having seen the benefits to the first few novice riders who tried it,
we quickly encouraged all first time riders to get on one, no point
having only advanced riders enjoying the benefits.
Now as a result of all the rave reviews from riders around the country we are continually ordering more Waroos just to keep up with the demand.
2008 is going to be a huge year for BEST.
There is a lot of development going on at BEST at the moment with the 2008 Nemesis HP due out in October. It's a wicked High Performance kite set to blow a few minds.
Jeff at BEST said he has just shipped me a 10m Nemesis HP to test. So we will hit the beaches with that later this week. It's the first of the signed off sizes to be announced ready for production.
If you have been following the development of this kite you will know how much work has gone into it.
The range of kites from BEST for 2008 will be Yarga "C-Hybrid", Waroo & 08 Nemesis HP (Hi Performance).
With BEST now sitting firmly at the top in the industry as the Worlds #1 Kiteboarding company, it's very satisfying to see all their R & D work is paying off and kiters everywhere stoked on their gear.

was absolutely stoked!
And the wave riding... wow. I rode from the Northern end of Orewa the
full length to the South then tore the set waves apart in huge powered
toe side to heel side carves all the way back. An epic ride across
angry surf that just kept getting better.
Joel, grabbed it for a session and was immediately out in the waves
unhooked and pushing it hard. Mark threw on his bindings for some
wakestyle action and was well punished when he over cooked it.

This clip was a lot of fun to film and a lot of local lads feature in it.
They were all keen to throw down a few moves for the camera. There is a lot of new talent emerging on the beaches, makes for entertaining viewing when the conditions are just right.

It was a good friendly crew on the water and that makes the day even better. I love days like that.
The wind was 10-15knots, just enough to justify putting kites up. There was a lot of interest in the new mean looking kite. Joel, after a quick blast on his Waroo took to the water on it
and just wouldn't give it back. At just 10sqm you get an idea of the power the new Royal ERA kite can produce when you watch the video.
